The Guddu Block is located approximately 15 km east of the city of Khairpur covering an area of 2,088 sq. km and lying in the Middle Indus Basin or Sulaiman sub-Basin in the Punjab and Sindh provinces of Pakistan. Six exploratory and two development  wells have been drilled from 2008 to 2016, resulting in the Reti, Maru, Maru East, Maru South and Khamiso gas discoveries in the Pirkoh Carbonate formation. The current average daily sale gasrate from the Guddu field is approximately 11.5MMscf/d which will increase to 13.5 MMcf/d once the discovery well khamiso-01 comes on stream. The JV has firmed up drilling of an exploratory well during 2017 in Guddu block.
